Paul Malsom playing Solo Guitar - The Pedal Set
Paul uses a Pedal which is a "loop station". This is a clever piece of modern technology which allows for live sampling as Paul is playing. Basically, the Paul can record what he plays, as he plays it on his guitar, then immediately loop this on the machine and play over the top of it. This gives the effect of two or more guitarists playing at the same time. This is not the same as playing along to backing tapes. Everything is played live on the gig. The example piece to listen to here is 'Summer Samba'.
